Dead Rising 2 Review

Dead Rising 2 is the sequel to the great game Dead Rising.  It does not continue the story from the first one because you play as a different character.  In this game you play as Chuck Greene, a former motor crosser.  I liked this character more than Frank West.  Frank West seemed to annoy me a bit in the first Dead Rising.  Chuck participates in a game show called Terror is Reality to get money for his daughter.  Terror is Reality is a game show where people kill zombies in mini-games.  The story is good.  That's all I will say because the plot unfolds after the Terror is Reality intro.  Their is a prequel to this game were you can play as Chuck in a small town.  The prequel is called Dead Rising 2: Case Zero.  I enjoyed the prequel because it was release before the game was and it allowed you to transfer your characters level to Dead Rising 2 (max level 5).  Dead Rising 2 allows players to make combo cards.  Combo cards is a recipe to make an item where you have to get multiple items and combine them at a workbench.  Some of my favorite are: jewelry + flashlight= lightsaber, car battery + wheel chair + machine gun = machine gun chair, lead pipe + fireworks = rocket cannon.  The game offers some online play.  Terror of Reality was available when the game was first released but I am sure their is not to many people on it now.  After two weeks of release I had to wait about thirty to minutes to play a match of Terror is Reality.  Co-Op is also offered in this Dead Rising game.  It is great to not play this game solo and with a friend.  Even after you beat the game you can go play on someone elses' file with all of your skills.  I am level 50 (max) and it can be fun to go into someone elses' game and screw up them from getting ending A (ending A is the best ending to get). Ending A you may ask?  Their are many ways for this game to end.  Ending  "A" will result in Overtime Mode were you get to continue the game.  Heads up, Overtime Mode is disapointing.  The main thing that makes this game better then the first one is the Co-Op, combo cards, and not playing as annoyng Frank West.  Fan--tastic!  83%

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Review

Brotherhood continues the story of Ezio from Assassin's Creed II, and also Dezmond.  If you have not played any of the others then you would not understand the story of this game to well.  The game play is about the same as the second one.  You can loot people, shoot guards with your hidden gun, hire mercenaries, and many other similar features.  The story mode is not near as long as the Assassin's Creed II .  I would say it is about half as long.  So if you are someone that's looking for a long single player game, look elsewhere.  The graphics in this game are great.  I believe that this game has the best water graphics.  When you look at the water it looks real.  The multiplayer increased this games replay value.  Running around with your friends and killing people is great.  The best mode by far is Manhunt.  In manhunt four players try to hunt another four players that are hiding.  The hiding team gets points by hiding and stunning the hunters; the hunting team gets point by killing the other team.  Their are different abilities that affect your player.  Several abilities are the hidden gun, smoke bomb, charge, changing NPC's to look like what you are, and many others.  Wanted is another popular game mode for online play.  This is where players face off each other and everyone has a specific target to kill.  It changes overtime and so you will always have someone hunting you while you are trying to hunt down someone else yourself.  While you are playing the game you level up and gain new abilities, new characters to play as, different colors, and more game modes.  The only thing I did not like about the multiplayer is that you can only rank up to level fifty. Once you get to the max level that's it.  You will soon stop playing the multiplayer because their is no sense of accomplishment.  (They should have included some sort of prestige system like in the recent Call of Duty games).  The main component that makes this game great is the multiplayer.  The story is good too, but you must play the previous ones before. 90%

Auto Assault Review

This was a great MMORPG.  Auto Assault was unique because instead of being a human warlock, you created a character but you would usually be in a vehicles.  I reserved this game from Gamestop when it was first released.  The game was given to the people who reserved a few days earlier then everyone else.  I remember it was Easter weekend.  When I bought the game for some reason most of that week I was out of school.  In about a five day time span I had put in over seventy hours of game play.  There was a monthly fee of fifteen dollars (like usual), with the first being free.  I started off as a Commando and eventually was able to use a tank.  The game featured players to make their own clans, change the colors of their vehicles, and use a mic in game.  Besides being able to get a tank, their was also other vehicles like a motorcycle that could stealth. The quests do get repetitive, but all MMO quests are.  My favorite part of the game was getting loot to customize the vechicle and make it all bad ass.  Their was not a bazillion people when the game released (like World of Warcraft) but their was a lot more then Final Fantasy 11 Online for the Xbox 360 (see previous review).  The game featured PVP death matches that were tons of fun.  Driving around and shooting other people with laser beams and machine guns was great.  About two years after initial launch I began playing the game again.  I realized there were different factions.  There was human, biotic, and some cyborg dudes.  I messed around with the game for another month because I was pissed that my human Commando with the tank had been deleted (I am guessing because of  my inactivity).  I tried out the biotic guys and would say that use poisons and are green.  The cyborg people were the coolest faction.  They have futuristic looking vechiles and for some reason I remember the color red being associtated with them.  This time when I played their was even less people playing.  I would say I saw about hundred people in each city I went to.  I recently checked up on this game found out they have closed down the servers as of 7/02/2007 =( If you are interested in this game then you should look up and find a private server.  If you find one post the link in the comments section (I would not mine playing it again).  This was a great MMORPG and so I deceided to review this game; even though it is dead.  In a way it competes with World of Warcraft as the best MMORPG (so far; Star Wars The Old Republic will own) to me because this game offered what other MMOs have not; kicking ass in vechiles while looting; 90%

Dexter Review

This has to be my favorite show on television right now (June 14, 2011).  The next season will be the sixth of Showtime's adaption of the books by Jeff Lindsay.  Michael C. Hall (bad guy from Gamer) has the star role as Dexter.  Dexter is a blood spatter analyst in the police department of Miami, Florida.  He had an unusual childhood where he would kill things such as animals.  He later hungers for more as an adult.  With the help of his step dad he learns to control his cravings by killing humans that deserve it.  He is only training Dexter with tips and advice which are known as The Code.  Dexter develops his own techniques on his own by following The Code.  His victims are usually people that have killed other innocent people.  This helps him deal with what he calls is his Dark Passenger.  Dexter also seems to have no feelings (it is found out why later in the show)  Thanks to his job in the Miami Police Department; he can gather data on criminals and be sure of his that his future victims are true criminals.  Dexter can also cover his mistakes, if he has any, by tampering with blood evidence to go in his favor.  Their is a lot more to this show; like how he manages his relationship with Rita (mom from No Ordinary Family), visions of his past, and much more (I don't want to spoil the show).  I would highly recommend this show to anyone who would like to see a darker version of CSI.  Because after all, Dexter is a good guy that kills the bad guys.  From the season's that have been released so far, I would say that the order from best to worst is: season 4, season 1, season 2, season 5, season 3.  Once you read this and decide to witness this show for yourself be sure you watch it from the beginning.  I did say this is my favorite show so; 100%

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Review

Star Craft II: Wings of Liberty is the first part of Starcraft II.  Blizzard is planning on releasing several Star Craft II games with each of them having a a different story.  They decided to do this to make more money.  Instead of buying one game with a lot of campaigns you will have to buy multiple games.  A lot of people love this game.  Game Informer gives it a 10/10 (the last one given in three years).  They way I look at it is that if you don't already have this game and are planing to play online you should not get it.  I got it about a month after release and I am do terrible online.  The game give noobs like you and me fifty warm up rounds (I skipped them and did the five games that places you in a bracket).  I some how managed to win one of the five games.  Now when I play online I usually lose in fifteen minutes.  In other Real Time Strategy games like Age of Mythology and Age of Empires it usually takes at around twenty minutes for the first attack.  In Starcraft II you are attacked after ten minutes of playing the game.  As for me, I like to make an empire, get resources, get all the upgrades, and so on.  Maybe RTS games online are not my cup of tea.  The graphics are good along with the campaign.  What I like most about the campaign is that in between missions you are on a ship and you can get upgrades and talk people.  (This is unheard off in an RTS).  I also liked when you are on a mission you get people communicating with you about the mission of the left side of the screen.  The story was okay but I never played the first Starcraft (that may have helped me understand it).  The graphics are good but I have seen better.  With this game being pushed and pushed for a release date you would expect the graphics to be at least as good as Red Dead Redemption.  One positive thing was that you did not have to pay a monthly fee like World of Warcraft.  I would have played even less of this game or may have not purchased it if had   Like I said, if your not already playing online then expect to get you smashed in.  For that reason, and others, I give this game a 75%

The Matrix Review

The Matrix was a damn good movie.  This is review for the first movie because the other ones are in a different category (Matrix Reload, Matrix Revolutions).  The movie starts off with the audience saying, "what the hell is going on."  You don't have to wait until the end of movie to understand it.  About forty minutes into the movie you should understand it.  There is some guy Neo that is living in a dreamworld which is basically a huge computer program (that would be a butt load of html).  He eventually gets out of the dreamworld and is free.  If you want to know the rest you should see it.  Neo is played by Keanu Reeves (Speed), Agent Smith is the elf dude from Lord of the Rings, and Morphis can be found in Pee Wee's Playhouse (not kidding).  I believe that this movie helped change plot lines for movies.  This movie makes the audience confused for awhile yet the movie still kicks ass.  It seemed like many movies were sticking with simple plot lines with bombs and terrorists, etc.  Now we have movies that are confusing like Shutter Island and Inception.  The special effects in the movie are really good.  You cant tell what was computer created which is something that is not always present in today's movies.  If you have not seen this movie then you should buy and see it, because it is a movie that can be seen over and over again (the second and third Matrix movies are disappointing; so I would advice you not to necessarily by those). 96%

Final Fantasy XI Review

Final Fantasy XI; what a waste of my life.  So far I have had positive reviews on video games; this game changes that. I know all website say this game is good; they must have been payed because the Final Fantasy XI I played sucked.  I purchased this game for the Xbox 360 for twenty dollars at the local Gamestop.  I was expecting to play it that night, surprise you have to get a massive download that has nothing to do with the game.  After two days of leaving my 360 on, I had to set up and online account.  I then find out that there is a monthly fee of fifteen dollars a month. WTF!!!  I already pay sixty dollars a year for the Xbox (luckily this game lasted only a few days more).  Four days after buying this game I GOT TO PLAY!!!  The graphics were as good as Final Fantasy VIII (a 1999 game).  I was walking around and saying to my self, "this must be the tutorial area..not to many people here."  I continued playing and got some random quest to kill things (this is an MMORPG after all) and got to level two.  During my quest I saw a person doing a quest as well.  (Turns out this was no tutorial, it was the game).  After getting to about level four I said I am done with this bullshit.  The graphics sucked, quests were super boring, and no sense of accomplishment when playing this game.  I also saw only about five people the entire time I played this game.  Some MMO.  I doubt that the PC version is any better.  They even made several expansion to this horrible game. Nowadays people are saying that Final Fantasy XIV is terrible.  My advice is to stay away from Final Fantasy MMO's.  Even more good news about this game.  When you try to take it to Gamestop after you have realized it sucks donkey balls, they will tell you that they cannot buy it from you because it is an MMORPG and it has been opened.  I even tried to exchange it for a quarter; that failed. =(  I give this game a killer 25%

South Park Review

South Park has been on television for some time now.  The first episode is unrecognizable.  I have enjoyed watching the show for over six years.  For awhile the episodes seemed to always be good.  The children would cause some problem and eventually have to try and solve it.  In many episodes Kenny dies, Cartman hates on Kyle, and Kyle says, "I have learned something today."  But lets not forget Stan, because my favorite character in South Park is Stan's dad, Randy Marsh.  This guy is an idiot (in a good way).  In the 2008 election episode Randy sings out a song in the street, "OOOBama your so fine, you so fine you blow my mind...Hey Obama... Hey Obama."  In many episodes he does something stupid like that.  All the other characters help add to the show.  Mr. Garrison is the children's teacher for the many years they have been in the fourth grade.  At first he was gay, but a few seasons ago he became a woman and know is a lesbian. lol...  Another character is Mr. Mackey (mmk).  He is the school counslar that always says mmk.  Chef is someone the children go to for help or ask questions.  Their are many other characters in this show like: Hanky, Towely, etc... (Watch the show and you'll see that their is a shit load of characters).  Like Family Guy, this show makes fun of current situations, but instead of lasting for thirty seconds (like Family Guy) they last the entire episode (twenty minutes or so).  I would probably would have rated this show around 97% but the newer episodes are beginning to lower the percentage.  This season has had a few funny parts but not as much as the other seasons.  Some of my favorite episodes from the other seasons are: Casa Bonata, Make Love Not Warcraft, Shake Weight, Fishsticks, Pinewood Derby, W.T.F., Whale Wars, Imagination Land, Fat Camp, Scott Tenorman Must Die, Cartmanland, How to Eat with Your Butt, and many others.  I have wasted many hours watching this hilarius show and you should too; 88%

The King's Speech Review

If you are wondering why this movie won best picture along with other three other Oscars then you have not yet seen it.  The movie is about King George VI becoming king and his problems with his speech.  He is second in line to become the King of England, his brother is above him.  At the beginning of the movie he begins by stammering on a speech.  You clearly get to see the problems he has when he speaks.  His speech problem is not stage fright because it even happens when he tells his daughter's stories.  His wife (Bellatrix from the movie series of Harry Potter) tries to find a solution for her husband.  One attempt is holding marbles in his mouth and trying to speak (a doctor suggests this).  After this falls George goes to a different doctor where the story of friendship begins.  His new speech therapist has many exercises for George to perform.  It gives you goosebumps the first time you are watching it and the king realize that the doctor was right about the music (watch it and you will know what I mean).  Later in the movie George's brother decided to give up the throne of England so he can marry a divorce United States woman that still has husbands living (this is against the Church of England).  George then becomes the kind of England and is fear of having to talk publicly becomes reality.  Before when he was duke he does not have to speak on such of a global scale.  Know that he has become king he will know have to give many more speeches.  The Kings Speech gets its name from speech George address to the public.  Thanks to his practice with his new founded friend the speech therapist, he succeeds in giving the speech without stammering (except for once; so that the audience knows it was really him giving the speech).  If give this Oscar winning picture a 93%

Call of Duty Black Ops Review

Despite what some people may say.  This is not the best Call of Duty game.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had the best levels.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had the best story.  Call of Duty World at War had better zombie levels.  So all that makes this Call of Duty game worse than all the others that we have seen recently.  Their is one good level on Black Ops, Nuketown.  That's the only level that can compare with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2's map such as: Iraq, Airport, and the first one's Overgrown.  I have to say that Black Ops may add the most diversity ever seen from a Call of Duty game but some features like the emblem creator take away from the game play.  This is how the emblem works.  You are playing a match and you seem some cool looking emblem that looks like a perfect pokeball, alien, Eric Cartmen, or whatever; then you see three more of each of them.  O Wait.. That means that looked it up on YouTube.  Before you know it everyone is running around with the emblem.  In MW2 players had to earn them; like my favorite one where you had to get 500 kills with the Rpg.  People end up relying on YouTube when they want to out perform someones emblem.  The games story makes you say what the hell until the last level.  That's were you say "ooo..okay.. now I know what is going on."  In the others you knew exactly what was going on weather it was a nuclear threat or you trying to stop the Germans.  Some people may not know but some characters that were in Black Ops were in World at War.  The zombie levels are not as good as World at War because their are special zombies now.  If I wanted to play against special infected I would play Left 4 Dead 2.  I don't want things crawling on the floor impairing my vision.  The dogs are okay because it is well known when they are coming (lightning strikes everywhere).  I also did not like how you can no longer look into the sky and figure out where the mystery box is.  I loved being able to get a good gun in World at War, unlike Black Ops where you are stuck using your pee-shooter.  Despite the qualities of this game that I don't like, their are a few good things.  Bullet in a Barrel is lots of fun on Nuketown,  Deathmatch is fun on Nuketown as well,  all the other game modes are a lot of fun on Nuketown (I like Nuketown).  Too bad you can only play Nuketown twice in a row before you are forced to vote for a different level which leaves you playing many levels that suck.  With the confusing story, special zombies, and Nuketown!!! I give this game a 77%
